Carlos
de La Corte
PhD in sports architecture and with project management broad background, Carlos has extensive and proven experience in Sports and Real Estate Industry, developing a diverse number of projects for Clubs, Investors, Federations and Major Events Organizing Committees.
He led the overlay management for 40 of the 54 Rio 2016 Olympic venues, acting as managing director of the Delivery Partner contract. Also collected experiences on the contractor side for overlay in important events such as Copa America, FIFA-U17 tournaments and Copa Libertadores.
With an extensive performance in the last FIFA events, Carlos managed the delivering of all FIFA World Cup Brazil 12 Stadiums and operational plans, working as main technical consultant for the LOC and FIFA. Had also a consultant role for the FIFA World Cup Russia 2018 Organizing Committee and, lastly, acted as FIFA direct consultant in a design review scope for the FIFA WC Qatar 2022 8 stadiums.
Carlos is currently CONMEBOL official stadium infrastructure technical consultant, leading an extensive data base and evaluation program for stadium improvements as of more than 150 stadiums in South America.
Member of IAKS (International Association for Sports and Leisure Facilities) and ESSMA (European Stadium and Safety Management Association), Carlos is frequent speaker in important sports facilities world congresses, making him one of the most reputed names in stadium technical consultant industry.
Pedro Lima
Based in Qatar since 2013, Pedro Lima is the Managing Partner for Arena’s operations in the Middle East. He was responsible to develop and execute the business plan for this market, having successfully identified, secured and delivered contracts such as the consultancy services for the Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy related to the Planning and Delivery of the FIFA World Cup 2022 in Qatar.
As a leader for Arena’s Middle East Operations, Pedro’s goal is to tailor Arena’s services to changing customer needs. His responsibilities include guiding business’s strategic Direction, managing day-to-day activities, developing new service offers, driving new business acquisitions, developing and implementing organizational goals, procedures, and policies.
Pedro brings to his position a well-established background inbusiness development and project management in various sectors such as manufacturing, transportation infrastructure, oil & gas, and sports/ events infrastructure. Prior to taking on Arena’s Middle East operations in 2018, he worked for over 10 years in Programme Management and Engineering firms.
