Universidad Catolica Stadium-Competition

Arena, in JV with partner with Re\Venue, was shortlisted in an architecture competition promoted by Club Deportivo Universidad Catolica. The challenge included not only remodeling the current San Carlos de Apoquindo stadium, but also transforming it into an international standard multi-use complex.

The program of the new San Carlos de Apoquindo was designed so that the stadium is alive 365 days a year, in addition to provide Catolica fans with an unforgettable experience in every football match.

Stadium capacity was increased to just over 20,000 spectators, and the spectators were segmented into different levels of prices and services, to cater to fans of all socioeconomic groups and level of interest in the team.

In addition, several premium products/spaces have been created, bringing the match day experience to fans and companies at the highest level; now a trend in other stadiums around the world.

In the new San Carlos de Apoquindo, visitors can enjoy the stadium in different ways, from using the gym during the week until watching the match after lunch from the Rooftop with the best view of Santiago.

ARENA design, commercial and business plan proved to be a perfect result of thinking architecture, with feasibility as a background. We created a new building masterpiece whilst respecting the neighborhood environment of Las Condes district.
