Stadium + Multi-Use Sports and Community Center

With the challenge of revamping an area of the Municipality of Osasco, currently occupied by a soccer field and a degraded community center, ARENA was contracted to prepare a study for the site’s urban regeneration.

We propose to anchor the revamp with a multipurpose arena for 7,000 spectators and a football stadium for 20,000 spectators (expandable for 30.000), integrated by a public square and surrounded by the existing green area, aiming to be the 1st LEED sport certified project in the country.

The proposal highlights the aspect of adjacent communities’ integration and ecological sustainability. Items such as rainwater reuse, permeable roofs, and floors, use of demolition materials, and photovoltaic panels were some of the aspects proposed into the project.
