Sports Knowledge Station

Cia Vale, the second largest company in Brazil, runs a program called “Knowledge Stations”, consisting of serving communities with a social and sports program for educational and training facilities. Vale hired ARENA to consult on technical and operational aspects for the Deodoro Knowledge Station, located in Rio de Janeiro. The program consisted of adopting existing buildings, a new running track with spectator facilities, one Olympic swimming pool, accommodation, changing rooms, a gym, and a complete support physiotherapy academy. The facilities are also to serve the community with extra school classes, medical attendance, and leisure activities at the same time could offer excellent sports training infrastructure.
